✈️ Thumbs Up for Visa-Free Policy: Off to China on a Whim! ✈️

Visa-Free Policy

Visa-Free Policy

🌏China expands its unilateral visa-free and mutual visa exemption policy.
Starting from March 14, 2024, China implements a visa-free policy for passport holders from 6 countries:

    #Switzerland, #Ireland, #Hungary, #Austria, #Belgium, and #Luxembourg.

⛵️This expansion comes after China previously implemented a unilateral visa-free policy for passport holders from 6 countries on December 1, 2023:

   #France, #Germany, #Italy, the #Netherlands, #Spain, and #Malaysia.

Passport holders from the aforementioned 12 countries can enter China for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, or transit for up to 15 days without a visa.

🛳Additionally, on February 9 and March 1, 2024,
China signed mutual visa exemption agreements with

    #Singapore and #Thailand.

Passport holders from Singapore and Thailand can enter China for tourism, visiting relatives, business, and other personal matters for up to 30 days visa-free. The cumulative stay within half a year can be up to 90 days.

🛂 Efforts to Streamline Travel! 🛂
To make traveling to China even more convenient, the country has been taking measures to streamline visa processes, including shortening application forms, reducing fees, and simplifying approval procedures. Plus, certain applicants are now exempt from providing biometrics, and walk-in visa application services are being offered.

💳 Smoother Transactions! 💳
China is also making it easier for tourists to manage their finances while in the country. The People’s Bank of China has instructed payment institutions to enhance the efficiency of linking mobile payment accounts with foreign bank cards, lifting single transaction limits, and simplifying identity authentication procedures. Now, foreigners can enjoy higher single transaction and annual cumulative transaction limits, making transactions up to $5,000 per transaction and $50,000 per year.
